With gratitude…

All of us at the INSTAP Study Center for East Crete would like to thank Henry “Nick” Ervin for his generous donation of books to the Center’s library. Nick’s interest in Greece and the Aegean Bronze Age were inspired as a young boy by his “Aunt Miriam” Caskey (née Ervin) in whose honor the collection was given. Nick was later able to visit the island of Kea and other sites in Greece, creating his own “Grand Tour” of sorts which further heightened his interest in ancient Greece. The focus of the collection is Bronze Age Aegean archaeology, art, and history, particularly volumes published before WW II. He has generously given his collection to the Study Center’s library, and reports from those working there have been extremely positive.

Thank you for this remarkable gift, Nick!
