Eleanor and Niki introduce the Center's role.
This week τhe Study Center welcomed four classes of high school students from Ierapetra led by Dr. Niki Saridaki, former petrography intern (2017) and library fellow (2018 and 2020) and now teaching high school. She gave the students a unique perspective on petrography and connected the students’ history lessons to the work done by archaeologists and other specialists in archaeological sciences. The examples offered an important experience for students trying to decide what path to take in their future studies.
