The Aegean Legacy Circle is designed to honor and recognize those who have made a lasting commitment to the future of the INSTAP Study Center through planned gifts. Planned giving is intended as a way for donors to make charitable contributions from financial or estate plans and is also known as “deferred” or “legacy giving.”
Members of the Aegean Legacy Circle will be joining a dedicated group of individuals who share a profound commitment to supporting the decades-long mission of the INSTAP Study Center. Planned giving can take many forms, such as bequests, charitable trusts, life insurance, or other estate planning instruments.
Planned giving is critical in ensuring the continuity of the Study Center’s mission to advance the study and preservation of the prehistoric heritage of Crete and the broader Aegean region.
Each gift, regardless of size, helps secure the future of our research, heritage management, educational programs, and community outreach on Crete. For example, members of the Aegean Legacy Circle can choose to support the Study Center’s mission by making a gift to support:
- The Study Center’s endowment
- Funds for an internship or fellowship
- A gift for specific facility upgrades
- New equipment
You may even wish to create a new funding opportunity for future archaeological projects.
In recognition of their generosity, members of the Aegean Legacy Circle will receive:
- Acknowledgment in the KENTRO newsletter donor section and in communications with SCEC members (unless one prefers to remain anonymous)
- Recognition of major donors through naming opportunities (e.g. lab space, lecture series, facilities)
- Invitations to exclusive events, including lectures and receptions
- Regular updates on the Study Center’s work and achievements
- Gratis copies of INSTAP Academic Press award-winning manuscripts
