Last week we hosted a very special group of people, our local donors, who took time out of their busy schedules to see the Study Center’s operation up close. Our local supporters came from the area of the Ierapetra Isthmus, including the villages of Pacheia Ammos, Kavousi, Mochlos, and the town of Ierapetra. Most are small business owners and many of them have been supporting our work in East Crete for more than 20 years. Over the summer, our local donors enthusiastically responded to our call to action by donating over 2,000 Euros to support our fellowship and internship programs. Offering a private tour of the Study Center was one of many ways of showing our gratitude for their generous assistance. Their continuous commitment and support will certainly make a difference in being able to support the vital work that we do in studying and preserving the cultural heritage of East Crete. We hope to invite more friends this summer and fall for a tour of the ever-changing activities at the Study Center.
