From July 13–15, the INSTAP Study Center welcomed Joe Wagman, a friend and longtime supporter of the Center, following his three weeks of excavation at the site of Iklaina. During his stay on Crete, Joe visited several archaeological sites, including Tylissos, Malia, Chalasmenos, and Vainia Stavromenos, as well as the archaeological museum of Agios Nikolaos. He also toured the Study Center, where he learned about current projects and the work being carried out by the staff. In between site visits, Joe had the chance to enjoy some of the local cuisine at restaurants in Pacheia Ammos and Ierapetra. We thank Joe for taking the time to visit the Study Center and hope to welcome him back to Crete again soon!
